I highly recommend the therapists at G3 Physical Therapy and Wellness! Having injuries from a lifetime of various sports and physical activities, I have been to many physical therapy groups and have experienced the good, the bad, but thankfully the best at G3 Therapy and Wellness. I first encountered them when a friend, a fit runner, suggested that I go see if Mike van Gilder could help me because I was suffering from multiple injuries: back pain from bulging spinal disks and rehab for knee cleanout surgery. She emphasized their very different “whole body” approach to dealing with therapy was not the common “focus on the specific 8 inches of injury” while the rest of the body deteriorates from inactivity. Once I experienced their common sense and practical approach to therapy, I was convinced that their method is the best way to heal and to improve the body’s essential functionality. Recently I took a terrible fall, which caused me considerable damage but no broken bones. After a week packed in ice nursing multiple strains and bruises, I turned to Sandra van Gilder at G3 Therapy to plead for help, knowing we would have to work remotely. As a result of our sessions, I have recuperated quickly and found that my back, knees, hips, and feet are pain free and considerably more flexible and stable. What Sandra is teaching me is designed to prevent future injuries while gently strengthening and making my body more functional for the rest of my life. If you or anyone you know is experienced pain or just wants to remain active and pain free, there is no better place to begin the positive journey to wellness and fitness than at G3 Therapy and Wellness.

I am a runner and I also work at a computer for long periods of time. I would attribute my injuries to a combination of running and sitting. I started going to G3 to help with a hip labral tear as diagnosed per an MRI; although, I think the issue is/was more related to my piriformis and hamstring. Regardless of the origin of the pain, the physical therapists I've worked with at G3 have been extremely helpful in isolating the areas of inflammation and providing hands on manipulation as well as exercises to help strengthen and stretch the surrounding areas. I originally reduced my mileage; but by continuing to strengthen the area, I've been able to continue to train. What I love most about G3 are the people, the physical therapists, those who assist with the exercises, and those who greet you at the front desk. It feels like a family and I have fun going there. Some initial recommendations, that I have adopted, were to try running in Hoka running shoes and to use a chair that allowed by shoulders to be far away from my hips. In addition to general exercises to do at home much of the program is customized to my specific needs. For example, I have a video of one physical therapist, Alex, demonstrating what we like to call "soup cans" - using soup cans as a weight to do specific lunges at home. Beyond the PT, the owner Mike has gone above and beyond to accommodate me given my recent work status changes. I feel very fortunate to receive the support and continued care offered at G3.
