I WOULD NOT recommend this dealership! I am a Marine Corps Veteran that doesn’t complain, but the level of service and lack of efficiency at Lexus of Watertown was egregious!
In October of 2014, I purchased a used Honda Accord that was priced very well. The vehicle had a few scratches, etc., etc., but overall not a bad car for the price.
That’s where the good news ends. In summary, the “blower” started winding almost immediately and appears to be on the way out. The salesman, Waldy Zapata, informed me that it’s not covered under the 90 day “Lemon Law,” which I understand. I had to return the alarm-component, which encompasses the security key because it was broken when I purchased the car. The license plate screws didn’t even fit when I attempted to affix my plates to the vehicle. I had to chase down Zapata numerous times by emails and phone calls, with little to no avail. This was after slow responses, excuses, or no response at all!
He alleged that the key was fixed and mailed back to my residence, but he didn’t mail via registered mail in order to track it. The estimated price of the key and alarm is somewhere around $400.00. I contacted my lawyer, who drafted a letter, but he hadn’t mailed it out yet because I wanted to be exact on my purchase date. The key magically showed up at my residence that day by mail and it still hadn’t been repaired! I submitted another email as proof in order to just at least get my second key and alarm fixed, and have yet to hear back from Mr. Zapata.
At the current time, I am just going to cut my losses and warn other potential customers of this appalling ordeal. I could detail a lot more, but don’t want to bore you with a novel.
Quite frankly it’s not worth paying my attorney, and going to small claims court and missing time out of work. I’m honestly disgusted in the way I was treated! Do yourself a favor and don’t shop at Lexus of Watertown.
