I needed a new vehicle to replace my aging Chevy Cruze. Research efforts sent me to Ebersole Hyundai. Ebersole Hyundai had the most vehicles in stock for just about the lowest prices within 50 miles of my home. We entered the building and were greeted promptly. I had asked for a sales representative and my wife and I were directed to Neal Eckert. He was very friendly and had asked what we were looking for in a vehicle. After explaining in great detail to him what I needed, he had shown us a few models. We were shown an Accent, Elantra, and Sonata.
I had skipped on test driving the Accent as I'm a big guy and it's a tiny car. Literally. TINY!
We test drove an Elantra and a Sonata. Neal went to great lengths to explain the features in each and he also explained a good deal of the technical specifications each model had to offer. We did a rather large test drive loop which consisted of both country road and town driving. It offered a good feel for the capabilities of the vehicles on different road conditions.
Once I had figured out what I wanted, the deal process had begun. This dealership is a lot like many others. The price minus rebates is what you're paying. No haggling. No "let me talk to my manager" walks of shame. Straight up transparency. The price is "the price". If you don't like the price, then look elsewhere. It's kind of nice knowing what the bottom line is. I understand they still made money on the deal but Ebersole Hyundai had the lowest price in a 50 mile radius for an Elantra Limited. It was a no-brainer! Neal made the process of purchasing my Elantra fast, easy, and painless. I've already dropped his name to my co-workers.
The car drives like a dream. If it lasts anywhere near as long as my sister's Accent did (285,000 miles and still going), I'm sure I'll be a repeat customer. I put about 35k miles a year on my vehicles. This Elantra Limited has a smooth ride, very responsive steering, and has ample acceleration if you need to get on it or just have fun with the sport mode driving setting.
I know the Elantra the most fuel efficient out there but I've averaged 39 mpg today on the way to work while being a bit aggressive to see what it can do. If this is the daily average, I'll be a satisfied customer. This is my first Hyundai experience and so far it's been amazing. Hoping to get 250k miles or more! THANKS NEAL!!!!!
