Kathleen, Paul, and Sheri were great! In love with my new car!
Overall a good experience. Kathleen kept the process on track.
Filipo was great. He took really good care of us. We will definelty be returning to El Cajon Ford for our next vehicle!
I had a terrible buying experience with this dealership. There were two specific problems. The first issue was regarding the rims on the tires. That issue was resolved only after writing a BBB complaint. The second issue was in regard to the Extended Warranty Options that I chose at the time I purchased the car. I decided that I wanted to cancel the warranties within 30 days of purchase. The Ford website states that you can cancel the warranty within 30 days and receive a full refund. Due to the fact that the purchase of the warranties was included in the Ford Credit financing of the vehicle, I was told that I could cancel the warranties but my monthly payment would not change. I was told that I would be credited the price of the warranties at the end of the loan. Meaning that my payments would end earlier than the original payoff date. In other words, I would still be paying for these warranties in my monthly payment (plus interest) until the end of the loan. I said that was unacceptable and started doing my own research through Ford websites and by calling Ford Credit. Apparently what the dealership told me is not true. The credit company said that my monthly payment would be adjusted after the dealership sent notice of the warranty cancellation, which would take 6-8 weeks. I went back to the dealership to sign the cancellation paperwork and decided to complain to the manager of the dealership whose name is Paul Dyke. He was uninterested in my complaint and said that's always how they've done it. It's funny that a Ford Dealership Manager doesn't seem to know the way Ford Credit Company deals with these warranty cancellations. I will be contacting Ford Corporate to discuss the issue. It seems to me that they have a deceptive policy on their warranty cancellations. I will also be posting my complaint to several websites. Be careful if you purchase the extended warranties. Ask questions about the cancellation policy. These warranties are a gold mine for dealerships. There are also deductibles (per service). Statistics prove that 55-85% of people who purchase these warranties ever use them. The cost of the warranties are generally much more expensive then paying the repairs out of pocket. That's why they try to cram them down your throat at the end of the arduous car buying process.
The experience at El Cajon Ford was very pleasurable
Kathleen was very pleasant to work with, as was the Sales Manager Rob Slater. I was a hard sell and negotiator but they were very accommodating and patient.
Overall great experience. A few glitches that were immediately rectified by the dealer personnel. Second purchase from ECF.
Could not ask for more. Great people.
I had an excellent experience. This is the 4th car I have bought from El Cajon Ford and I have had an excellent experience each time.
