I purchased a used Toyota Prado in March 2021 with 64,000km on the odometer, inside was a Toyota service sticker that said next service due 70,000km.
When I picked up the car the salesman was trying to get me to book a service with him. I declined thinking it wasn't due until 70,000km, when I got home I contacted Toyota and they told me it had not been fully serviced that only a grease and oil filter change had been attended.
I then rang Toyota Goulburn and explained the situation, they booked it in for a full service as due at 60000km free of charge. However the hand brake must not have been checked as I have since had it tightened at 66000km. I am now wondering what else was not fully attended? I have had to replaced all 4 tyres as they were bald.
Please get an inspection by a mechanic you trust on any vehicle you purchase, I wish I had. I was too trusting of the salesperson, my mistake.
