We first stopped in to test drive some vehicles in early spring and let Melissa know we were not going to be buying until September. She worked with us anyway and we test drove three vehicles that day. Over the course of the summer we would stop by or follow the inventory on their website and they always had time to talk to us but not pressure us into buying. We found a vehicle on the website we were interested in early August, We contacted Melissa to set up another test drive. Melissa had the vehicle ready when we got there and let us test drive it on our own. We were able to discuss the purchase between ourselves until we made the decision it was the right move. Melissa then came back and wrote up the deal. We had decided after the spring visit that in the fall we would give them a first look. We also spoke to our neighbor who is from Belle Plaine and they let us know what type of a dealership Saxe is. They said they are very involved in the community, support a lot of community events, do a lot of charity work with individuals in need, and are a great business to work with. We felt like they didn't just want to sell us a car, I'm know that was their end goal, but they were looking down the road and wanted us to be a customer. Also working with Jeff on the paperwork was pretty easy.
After 17 years of driving a manual transmission Chevy Prizm, it was time to think about purchasing a new car. 2 years of scheming, lead me to Matt Saxe Chevy Buick in search of a Malibu LS. There was a great amount of info to process ... much has changed in the the auto industry in the past 17 years.Ryan Murray made the experience enjoyable. He holds a healthy combination of clever and kindness. He definitely understood the complexity of emotion in surrendering a great old car and processing significant operation changes of a 2018 vehicles. I appreciated his insight and observations. My decision making process took a couple weeks. There was a hope on Ryan's part that I bought that day however with ease he provided space for working out the decision, was available for any questions and the second test drive. The decision to buy was good! I'm hoping for another 17 years of Malibu time.
I checked out cars at a couple other places before stopping at Matt Saxe; those experiences were... less than satisfactory. After a frustrating morning, I parked at Matt Saxe Chevrolet Buick, and Melissa came out to greet me. She seemed genuinely happy to offer her help, which was refreshing. I felt a lot more welcome than I had at the previous places, where I had to seek out help. I was also impressed by her knowledge of the car I test-drove. In comparison, one previous dealership was so large that the fellow helping me knew almost nothing about the cars he showed me. He had a lot of trouble locating them on the lot. At the other place I stopped, the man who accompanied me on test drives knew absolutely nothing about the vehicles, and, at one point, brought out the wrong set of keys. Melissa, on the other hand, answered my questions without hesitation, and then gave me even more info by printing out the Carfax report and the car's service record at the dealership. She even gave me a great recommendation on insurance. (Much appreciated!) Everyone I interacted with at Matt Saxe was very friendly and helpful, and I purchased my car with confidence.
Enjoyable experience. Knowledgeable and found financing discounts. That was a bonus! That subtracted the tax on the vehicle. I really was happy with all of the employees that I interacted with. My sales consultant is Jodi Lehrke and she had a good recommendation for us to keep the truck looking nice for the future.

I definitely recommend buying a vehicle from Melissa Mundahl at Matt Saxe Chev in Belle Plaine! I told her exactly what I wanted, pretty specifically, and within an hour, she had quickly found the perfect vehicle for me. She shared a fun video of herself in the car (MY CAR!) showing me every detail! I went to see her the very next day and snapped up my new Chevy Malibu!! Excellent service!!!
