I purchased a 2019 Kia Forte EX around April 24th, 2019. The sales reps who worked with me were Pawel, and Jean. Neither of which are listed under the Sales Staff of the McGrath Arlington Kia website which is interesting. The sales process was great, both were patient and compromising to work with my needs and we came to a solid agreement. Around a week later, I hadn't noticed that the Navigation system(an included feature of the EX Trim) was not working, and the stitching on the bottom curve of the steering wheel was coming undone. I was not too heavily worried about the Navigation but I wanted to take care of the Steering wheel as soon as possible. Between May 13th and May 28th, I made at least 15 phone calls and sent numerous emails with photos of the steering wheel attached to the dealer(due to the fact that I live 2 hours away from the dealer) in an attempt to get this resolved. The experience was not good at all, it is evident that communication amongst employees at this dealer needs improvement. However on May 28th, I spoke with Joe DeRosa(Service Manager at McGrath) whom I voiced my concerns to over the phone to which he replied 'I will handle this for you.' Skeptical, I drove to the dealer on Friday May 30th, 2019 and we agreed on a 9:00a.m. appointment. Unfortunately Joe did not arrive until 9:45, however what I was expecting to be a terrible experience and then a trip over to the BBB, Joe took a look at my steering wheel and within 15 minutes he had an interior specialist stitch the steering wheel back together very nicely, and resolved my Navigation issue.(which just ended up being a missing SD card in the car) Thank you Joe, as some people might say, this dealer doesn't deserve you. You were professional and provided me with exactly what I needed.
