My service rep Tanisha is great. Midas performed a bad oil change on my mom's car causing her drain plug to fall out of the freeway travelling 65mph. I brought it here, mistakenly in hindsight. There are two main issues here. First being I was never called back for several days. Mind you I had a rental car cause my mother still needs to get to and from in the meantime. Mirak finishes it within a day or two but never gets back to me. Because there was a gap where service was invoiced out and I still had the rental, Midas refused to pay for it. Rightfully so. I insisted Kevin pay for it considering he didn't call me back. Not only did I catch him lying to me over the phone stating he called someone ( only number they have or will ever have on file is my number ) he denies he said such thing the second I call him out on it. Says he'll look into it and call me right back. When I hear the words right back I expect by end of day. I wait til after work, lo and behold, no call back so I just walk into his service dept and confront him face to face. He had also claimed over the phone he remembers this particular car and oversaw the repairs himself. But he claims the reason I never received a call back because just like when I bring my car in for an oil change it's my responsibility to call and check on the status. Even for an oil change, I've never once had to call or check on the status. Always have received courtesy calls from service depts letting me know my car is ready. More importantly, the fact he lessened the severity for my mom's visit made me question the services performed on my mother's car. Did they perform the necessary safety checks required to completely say my mom will be safe? I doubted it so I took it into another mechanic and got a second opinion.
Hey Mr Rob Mirak, if you're reading this, here's an honest suggestion for you. Tanisha should be your service department manager cause she handled the situation superbly. Kevin did nothing but escalate the situation when his job is quite the opposite.
