We purchased a used RV from Paul who was excellent but after allowing for 7 weeks for them to get the vehicle ready for delivery we received a dirty, non detailed and totally unpresentable vehicle for our 50k life long investment.
Yes, by no means was it a high end, brand new top dollar RV, but we have never been so appalled and disheartened by picking up such a dirty, underprepared and disappointing hard earned investment.
I wrote to management to express my dismay at quite a few valid points ranging from the disgusting presentation, ventilation grill falling off on the way home 5 kms away, only half a tank of fuel when negotiated in the sale for a full tank on delivery and stock records showing items that were not present at delivery.
I was referred to service department manager, supposedly and questioned about all my grievances and basically made to feel I was expecting too much and that it was not as bad as I was complaining about. when asked to provide photo proof, as if I was making things up, I was answered with the comment..”yes”..I would not be happy either ..the offered to bring it back for a wash and clean to get it up to scratch, surely that was suposed to happen in the 7 weeks before handover I would have thought.
Never once have senior management acknowledged my emails to them nor offered any resolution apart from a wash and vacuum, and oh yes, a $25 gift voucher to spend in their store only.
These guys need to stop living in the prehistoric sales era and get some customer service training, starting right from the top. When I see how other dealerships do their presentations and delivery I really wish we searched further afield rather than keep our business local...bows, ribbons and welcome boards for their customers...We got..”I beleive you have a cheque for us?”.
All in all a disgusting and disappointing experience and will be doing any servicing or purchasing elsewhere most definitely from here on in
