We have a 2012 Sportage, my service engine light came on so we took it and had it scanned locally and they said it was the timing chain/belt. They said to take it to the dealership. We called they scheduled us for a Wed.it would be a 5 hour job, before they would order parts we had to pay for them so we did. We took the vehicle there on Tuesday evening so they would have it first thing in the morning. Asked them to change our landline number to my cell and they said they couldn't because their program was too old so i said well you need to contact us on my cell they said ok, and supposedly put it in the system. They said they tried to call us 3 times that day...yep on the wrong number so we had no communication with them all day so we called them which takes 2-3 times of getting an answering machine then finally having to get upset and ask to talk to a person. Well this went on for 3 days...poor communication, didn't know what was really wrong, couldn't figure it out so tried something else, that didn't work but they charged us for part and labor, the horrid story goes on and on....finally Friday morning we call again and they said they are having trouble putting it back together...what? They said it should be done around 1, call back then, ok 3 more calls to get to talk to a person, we head there which is over an hour drive, and they charged us for the parts we paid for in the first place-double billed us, I pulled my bank account up on my phone and proved it and she said, well I'm not trying to pull anything on you but i got a note here saying the bank sent it back. Finally the accounting guy came out and cleared it up, yep her not knowing how to read the invoices so billed us again. there was other charges that shouldn't have been on there too. It was a 30-45 minute heated discussion and the service manager couldn't really explain a thing. It was a horrible experience. This isn't the first time with poor, horrible service there. One time we had a warranty tire, we had to pay for the warranty tire and get reimbursed, which took 10 months and we had to keep calling every couple weeks. I wouldn't recommend this place at all. We are really thinking about trading our car in because we never want to deal with the service there again. It's just horrible because we really do like the vehicle.
