I don't even want to give this a 1 star review! I went through a pre approval process to see if I would get approved prior to my credit getting dinged for hard inquiries. Once that process was completed, I went and looked at the cars for sale online. Found a 2018 Jetta for $15k, was interested in looking at it. The sales team called and said I was pre approved, but would not tell me how much I was pre approved for, then asked what I was willing to pay. I told them I am not sure, this is my first vehicle purchase and I am not exactly sure what type of vehicle I truly wanted. But stated I would like to come and see them and possible test drive a few to see how they feel. Stated I was interested in the Jetta and he told me that they didn't have many but would be getting a new shipment within this week. I printed the internet price out and told Josh we would see him soon, long story short, we get up to the dealership, I do NOT like being bombarded by sales people so I drove around looking at the cars and found the Jetta. I like to look at the vehicles privately to be honest, instead of listening to a bunch of sales bull before I even know if I really like the vehicle...I pulled my phone out, looked up the internet price again, and they upped the price by $2500! That was it for me, got in the car and left. Fast forward, Josh from Priority Volkswagen called me back to see what time I would be expected and I told him of my findings, that I was no longer interested in doing business with this company. I ended the call only to have the "internet manager", Christian or Chris, I believe he said, and told him thanks for calling but I was no longer interested in a vehicle at this location. No sooner than I hung up the phone, did I get every sales call and about 50 plus, text messages, from every dealership in the United States, saying they were calling in reference to my inquiry. I assure you, no such inquiry was ever made anywhere else! These company's stated they were calling in reference to a "true car" inquiry. News to me! I have now learned, (from two of the "inquires calling me) (Priority Toyota and Colonial Kia) that this dealership is newly owned by another company that deals with True Car internet sales. Ahhhh Haaa! These sharks sold my info, because I chose to take my business elsewhere after they were caught with their pants down! WOW! Buyer Beware! Shady Shady folks work here!
We greatly appreciate the time you have taken to bring your experience to our full attention. We are truly sorry that the price was upped on our website $2,500 after your initial findings, as well as the false information that you were given.
After forwarding your review to management to learn more about your time with us, we would like to know the stock number for the vehicle that you are referencing. It will be on the sheet you printed out originally. We hold a history log on all vehicles that note price change. Currently, we have two 2018 Jettas on our lot - both at a discounted price. One new one listed at $18,545, and the used as $14,898.
On the opposite hand, we do not have a team member at this location by the name of Chris or Christian. Also, we have no idea why "True Car" would be giving you this false information. We do not sell our customer's information under any circumstance, nor make money off of this business.
