I have been a regular customer and most stylist there have done my hair. Lately they are all abit sloppy. I agree with the last comment , I too have been rushed out the door and expected to leave a tip. That irks me! Asking me if I'd like to leave a tip on my card? IF I chose to leave a tip then I will tell you to ad it to my card. Asking me is RUDE! IF MY STYLIST EARNED A tip then it's my choice to give it.
Not happy with this place anymore.
Time to move on, look elsewhere.
I got a Tip for ya: don't gossip while a customers is sitting. You never know who she might know :flushed::rolling_eyes:

Listen and work at thier profession. Bobbi, Michelle and Leah all seem to be on top of their game. The new young girl needs to go. She's rude and unprofessional. Not to mention unpleasant behind a desk. I read the other comments and have to agree if it's the same young girl. She needs some customer service training , not to mention lacks respect.
Most of these girls are from the hair cutters in Mechanicsburg and left to open this shop. I suspect they took customers too. Not nice!
I have been in and out of here and won't be returning. I have had my hair cut and eye brows done. Both of which Iv been disappointed with. I have sat in the chair and listened to a certain stylist discuss her medical situation over and over again and also discuss other customers . This makes me think if I am being discussed as well? Interesting. They seem to rush you in and out and my shampoo was sloppy with cold water. A quick rinse and I was out of the chair with water running down my face.
It's a beautiful place. Very up to date and decorated nicely. But that doesn't give a good haircut .Won't recommend
Bobbi did a wonderful job on my hair. I had let it grow out and darken and looked terrible. Bobbi did a full head of highlights and a wonderful short cut. I had tons of compliments, even from hubby who never likes my hair.
I can't wait until my next appt.

Just a follow up-reading back my review I mistakingly wrote I was Comfortable I meant UNCOMFORTABLE.
I did notice a few typos which I apologize for-I do not see well and my glasses are at home. I did see another review about the receptionist being rude so clearly this has been an issue before- 2hrs have now gone by and still no phone call-no apology. Nothing. They got thier money-who cares right?!
Maybe I should have made a fuss while there-maybe I should have voiced my opinion and told Rita and the manager Micky how unhappy I was. But I am a nice person. I was trying to give it a day or two . Idk. I just know as a professional if ur going to take it upon urself to change something u explain it to the customer. You give the custuthe option to decide if she wants to pay for that. You don't laugh when she tells you she didnt expect the service you gave her and tell her -'ok well next time!!' There will not be a next time!!! If the customer says her hair looks red don't second guess her and tell her it's the lighting. My hair had red tones in it. She should have taken the time to ad a toner. She simply didn't want to.
That aside the rude behavior by the young woman behind the desk made this experience much more unpleasant and needs to be addressed .
It may be a family owned business and ur job might be secure however you won't have a job if u continue To treat people like that.
How about 'I am sorry you had a bad experience, can I make you an appointment to see Rita and perhaps find a solution? Don't laugh, huff and puff, roll ur eyes or display any type
Of rude behavior--It's called respect --like it or not you work with the public you show respect.
Extremely upset at my recent experience. I had called to make an appointment for highlites about a week ago, having been to this salon before and having this done I knew a pretty good idea about the price I needed to budget. I arrived and was greeted by Rita who asked me if I was there for 20 foils. I explained I never said 20 but yes highlites I explained I liked a lot of very thin pieces nothing heavy or chunky and I'd like my light brown hair to shine through. She started to put foils in my hair and I did think she seemed a little bit distracted.
I noticed that my head was starting to feel very heavy so I stopped her and I said is this 20foils? She replied oh no this is a full head- I kind of just stop there and altho very comfortable I just said -oh OK.
She finished the foils and I went and sat in the other room while my hair processed for about 20-25 minutes. She rinse my hair and when I went and sat down I immediately noticed my hair looked redish /blonde it definitely had a red tone to it . I told her that I saw a red tone and she said to
me -no it's just the lighting . Ok again-i should have spoke up. My mistake. She then asked me if I wanted her to cut my hair - I said yes please put some layers in it she asked me if I wanted her to Curl it and I said yes please Curl the ends of the layers-she curled just the ends -she didn't touch the layers and we were done.
When I got up to the counter to pay my bill she informed the cost would cost me $80 I said to her this is more than I expected to pay- I really just wanted a few highlights and then she said OK so next time we'll just do a few highlights and giggled. I was shocked. First of all when she chose to do a full
Head of highlites she should have discussed it with me first. Explained there was a significant price difference. I have never had full
Highlites. I did not want my hair turned blonde. I wasn't soft highlites-that's it!!
I paid her $90 because I tipped her $10 tip for her time and I left. I felt maybe I'd let it go-see how it looked in a day or so. However I was upset-it wasn't that I wanted.
I had an out-of-town funeral so I was away for the weekend -I was extremely upset because I let I arrive there with light brown hair I left there with A full head of blonde hair with lots of red in it And I just hate it . Not to mention because of the full head of bleach my hair is so unmanageable. It looks like I just walked off the beach. :rage:
When I finish work on Monday I decided to just ride over to the salon talk to Rita and show her my hair . I really felt bad and didn't want to make a phone call but talk to her face to face. I was told Monday was her day off she wasn't there and I started to explain my story -my situation to the girl behind the desk who basically just didn't want to hear it she rolled her eyes at me & immediately sstarted to look at her computer and interrupted me in half
sentence and said when do you want an appointment? I said to her I'm not asking for an appointment I'm just asking what I can do to maybe fix my hair which she replied -color it !!! In a pretty unpleasant tone. So shocked and so offended at the way she spoke to me I picked up my keys I told her I resented her tone and her treatment and I walked out of the salon . It's been an hour since -I am sitting in a parking lot down the road so upset and offended. I expected a call-an apology-I mean hey we all have bad days-however that hasn't happened- I haven't heard from manager I don't expect to hear from the manager and now il probably go spend another hundred dollars to get my hair fixed elsewhere! Money I work hard for and really do not have to fix my hair. Had Rita listened to me and discussed the options. Afterll it's her business not mine--I wouldn't be sitting here writing this!! This is not the first time my family has had a situation with the salon but we understand people make mistakes so we went back. I am so annoyed and so offended at the way I was just treated I am
A paying customer who may not go in there every week or even every month but when I do go -I expect to be treated with respect just like your regular customers. I just cannot believe how that girl just spoke to me the facial expressions that sheet that she put out in front of me as if I was wasting her time .
No worries dear -I won't be back. Next time someone has a complaint or conversation with u-make eye contact, don't roll
Your eyes or treat them as if they are not worth your time. I respectfully stepped aside and told you to take your phone calls-I had plenty of time and I understood you were busy. I was extremely understanding and kind. When you chose to dismiss me and be absolutely rude-I chose to remove myself from the situation.
Shame on you.
Finding someone who "gets" how to cut your hair is often difficult and usually you just have to settle for OK. But Leah and really the whole staff at Salon 944 made it easy. From the excellent service to the easy going atmosphere to the excellent scheduling facilities, they fit easily into my busy life and make the simple act of getting a haircut (usually a PITA at best) a fun and easy experience. Well done!
I'm so completely dissatisfied with the way the receptionist just treated my mother and I. We went in this morning for a wedding trial and Rita did an amazing job, but when we tried to schedule the appointments for the big day, the receptionist was completely rude, unprofessional, and a complete ***. She really should have some class to work in a salon like that. Wedding days are stressful enough without having to worry about being treated in such a disgusting way.
Everyone was professional and friendly, overall relaxing environment. I enjoyed my services and was impressed with my results.
I went to plenty of salons, searched and searched for the stylist that would listen to me and get to know my hair...Bobbi gets it! She is a wonderful stylist that I trust to do whatever she thinks would look best for me...:)

Michelle is an amazing hair dresser. She is so good at doing cuts and has perfected my blonde color. I would recommend going to her!
The ladies at Salon 944 are so friendly and fun! I went there for a wedding updo, and loved the atmosphere so much I scheduled a color there shortly after. Mickey did an awesome job giving me the color I wanted!
Leah is genuine, friendly, and most importantly an amazing hair stylist. Just recently my daughter asked for her hair to be shaded (ombre). I was nervous that it would not come out right. Leah did an outstanding job. Her hair looks so natural and I have never seen my daughter so happy.
I went to two other salons trying to get my hair platinum --with out success & for a ridiculous price. I was referred to Salon 944 and Jennifer got it right the first time and at a reasonable price for my little bit of hair! Thank you so much for your great service! I will be back!!

The most wonderful place to get your hair done,everyone is friendly and does a great job,The shop has a fabulous home like atmosphere, I wouldn't think of going any where else
Overall awesome experience!! I went in with little knowledge on what I wanted done because my hair is so thin and permed for 30 years. 944 helped to find a style right for my hair type and taught me how to style it on my own. Loved them!!
Friendly staff and atmosphere. Everyone is so nice and the the salon is very clean. They take their time to cut your hair and you leave as a happy customer. ????

Salon 944 is such a great shop with so many friendly stylists, they are all so good at what they do and you can't help going back for more.
I highly recommend this salon! The salon is beautiful and relaxing. All the girls there are wonderful and are great at what they do. Bobbi always does an excellent job with highlighting my hair. Im always very pleased with the way it turns out!
