Great experience I had buying my polo vivo 1.4 conceptline from Gladwyn Paul, very friendly, quick service and very good at what he's doing. Best service I've ever got. Thanx alot Gladwyn and The glen vw. I'll certainly be back again for an upgrade.
I just bought a brand new Polo Highline from VW The Glen. I had great experience with them up until the day I took delivery of my car in Cape Town. The car came from the factory with all the optional extra I wanted, including Composition Media. The car is fully specced out and I was offered all the optional extra's for the car and even a list of after market extra's but nobody informed me that I would need to pay R4800 to get App Connect to have the full use of the Media Interface. If not it will just be a normal radio and you might as well taken the normal radio and not pay extra for the Composition Media with Car Play functions. On VW The Glen's website, brochures en leaflets, App Connect is not listed there as optional extra at all. I have sent them an email but no response from them. I am not happy that this was not communicated to me beforehand. The Sales Executive confirmed in an email that she was not aware of App Connect. I feel the dealership needs to take responsibility to ensure their sales team is properly informed of products and how it works when selling it to clients. The Sales Executive sent me a optional extra list afterwards that I've never seen before where it now shows R1500 for the App Connect. Why did I never get this? Why did I have to pay R4800 now instead of R1500? This is extremely unprofessional and not acceptable that the client get sold a product that does not even work 100% unless you pay R4800 extra. If I was informed beforehand, this could've been included in my finance budget. I feel this is unfair that the client now has to take responsibility and pay to have full use of enjoyment of the Composition Media where the sales executive does not take responsibility that she did not inform me that I need to note the Car play won't work unless I pay to have it working.
